Beatrice A. (Henrich) Moriarty, 87, of Hampden, passed away peacefully March 15, 2024 with her loving family by her side. She was born in Stafford Springs, CT, a daughter of the late Edmond and Beatrice (Tait) Henrich and was a graduate of the former Springfield Technical High School and graduated from the Springfield Hospital Nursing Program in 1958 as a Registered Nurse.
Beatrice retired from the former Mary Lyons Nursing Home after 29 years. She was a member of the Hampden Community Federated Church, active member of the Hampden Senior Center, and supportive of her community in many ways.
She is survived by her best friend and devoted husband of 65-years, John R. Moriarty and leaves four loving children, Melissa A. Moriarty of Hampden, Michaele T. Costello and her husband Mark of NC, Jacqueline M. Charnley and her husband Thomas of VT, and Teri L. Moriarty of Springfield; her sister, Judith Hatch of Hampden; five cherished grandchildren, Daniel, Bethany, Colleen, Thomas, and Mary Kate; and one cherished great-granddaughter, Evie. Besides her parents, Bebe was predeceased by her sisters, Maralee Davis and Patricia Smith.
Relatives and friends may call on Thursday, March 21st from 4 - 6 pm at the Byron Keenan Funeral Home & Cremation Tribute Center, 1858 Allen St., in Springfield. A private burial will take place at Prospect Hill Cemetery in Hampden.
