Tribute

Anna (Wahlgren) Boisse, 65 of Southbridge, MA passed away peacefully on March 21, 2024, after a difficult 6-year battle with dementia. She was born in Uppsala, Sweden on January 22, 1959, the daughter of Per-Olof Näslund and Elsie (Wahlgren) Zethelius.  Growing up Anna lived in Sweden, France, Germany, and Japan before moving to the USA in 1998, becoming a proud American Citizen in 2012.  Anna enjoyed drawing in charcoal, painting in acrylics and oils, decorative painting, photography, and pottery, holding a certification in Ikebana.  However, Anna’s true passion was quilting, often dedicating hours on end designing her own quilted patterns, being labeled an “Outstanding Quilter” at her local Arts and Craft boutique.  She began her quilting career at the age of 13 when she made a memory quilt for her grandfather.  Anna had an outstanding eye for color and sewed each quilt, place mat, table runner, and potholder with true love.  Family members and friends that received one of these special and precious quilted blankets have a special gift to treasure.  Anna was beautiful, kind, funny, talented, and had an impeccable memory for everyone’s birth dates.  She loved her family, friends, art, and cats more than anything.  In addition to her parents she is survived by her devoted husband, Kevin Boisse, her three loving children Jacob Jansson-Wahlgren and his wife Alexandra Morrison of Sacramento, CA., Peter Jansson-Wahlgren and wife Kristen Jansson of Longmeadow, MA and Johanna Jansson-Wahlgren and fiancé Alexander Dahlberg of Stöde, Sweden, two brothers Frederick Näslund and Martha of Danderyd, Sweden and Olof Näslund and his wife Bianca of Spånga, Sweden and a sister Elisabet Eriksson and husband Lars of Uppsala, Sweden and she leaves five cherished grandchildren, Ella, Owen, Neo, Millie, and Linnéa.  All services and burial will be private.
