Barbara (Spengler) Bosworth, 90, of Wilbraham, passed away on Friday, December 22, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. Barbara was born in Chicopee Falls on September 7, 1927, the daughter of the late Paul and Florence (Mellor) Spengler. She was a graduate of Springfield Technical High School, Class of 1945. She also graduated from Springfield Junior College. Barbara was a member of the Wilbraham United Church, and was a member of the Wilbraham Women’s Club Choral Group. She was a volunteer for Wilbraham Public Access TV and Reach to Recovery. Barbara enjoyed painting with water colors, playing the guitar and piano. She enjoyed playing tennis, tap dancing and traveling. In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her brother Robert Spengler. She is survived by her husband of sixty-six years Richard Bosworth of Wilbraham, and four devoted children, Stephen and his partner Karen Merchant of Springfield, Douglas Bosworth of Wilbraham, David Bosworth of Agawam and Barbara J. Bosworth of Wilbraham, and three cherished grandchildren, Andrew Bosworth of Springfield, Allison Fiut and her husband Jeff of Buffalo, NY., and Spencer Bosworth of Philadelphia. All services and burial will be private. In lieu of  flowers, donations can be made to one’s favorite charity.
