Karen G. (Maloni) Albano, 70, of Springfield passed away on Wednesday, November 14, 2017 at Baystate Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. Karen was born in Springfield on July 26, 1947, the daughter of the late Anthony and Barbara (McMahon) Maloni. She attended Putnam Vocational High School.  She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Springfield. Karen enjoyed trips to the casino, and treasured time spent with her beloved husband Peter. She cherished every moment with her grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by a brother Sean Maloni. She is survived by her beloved husband of fifty-two years of marriage, Peter J. Albano, Sr., of Springfield, four devoted children Patti Albano of Springfield, Peter Albano, Jr., of Springfield, Joseph P. Albano of Springfield and Christina Albano and her wife Kerry A. Gilpin of Hampden,  four cherished grandchildren Arianna, Talia, Samantha and Ava and a great- grandson Korey, and she leaves six brothers Anthony Maloni and his wife Cynthia of Agawam, Robert Maloni and Karen of Goshen, MA., Daniel Maloni and his wife Sherry of Fort Lauderdale, FL., Doyle Maloni and his wife Rose of Springfield, Mark Maloni of Las Vegas, NV and Casey Maloni and his wife Cheryl of Las Vegas, NV., and she leaves two sisters Gayle Scatchard and her husband Ken of Woodstock, VT., and Jeannie Dintzer of Agawam, two sisters-in-law Virginia Campiti and her husband Frank of Springfield, Theresa Campiti of Agawam, and a brother-in-law Joseph Albano of Agawam, as well as many nieces and nephews and a large extended family. She also leaves many dear friends especially Maryanne Barbuti and Connie Murty both of Springfield, and she leaves her special dog Stewart. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, November 20, 2017 at 10a.m. in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Williams Street in Springfield.
