Lorena Grace (Bradley) Brown, Laurie, as she liked to be called, was a resident of Springfield mostly, living for several years in Southwick, Agawam, and Windsor, Ct. She passed away on Tuesday, August 29, 2017, at 79. Her final days were spent with her loving family and friends at the Wingate nursing home of Springfield, where she was well cared for by a wonderful and accommodating staff.  She was born on August 23, 1938, the daughter of the late Whitney and Lorena Grace (Bangs) Bradley.  She completed the Cosmetology program at the Springfield Trade School in 1956, and free lanced in that field, she also enjoyed singing, drawing and painting, and had a memorable sense of humor, with a contagious laugh.  She worked in a factory, waitressed, cared for children in her home, became a Tupperware Sales Manager, and worked as a Springfield Bus Monitor.  She also taught Sunday school, was a choir member, and an AWANA leader. In addition to her parents she was also predeceased by her husband Kenneth Brown in 2002.  Lorena is survived by her seven devoted children Julie-Anne Hoyt and her husband Robert of Lunenburg, MA., Russell Brown and his wife Patricia of Springfield, Kenneth Brown of W. Springfield, Valerie Bolduc and her husband Ron of Osterville, MA., Daniel Brown and his wife Barbara of Springfield, Stephen Brown and his wife Maria of South Hadley and Ronald Brown and his wife Rebecca of Agawam, two brothers David Bradley of Springfield and Richard Bradley of Augusta, GA., and one sister Bertha Welch and her husband Donald of East Longmeadow, as well as eighteen adored grandchildren, and also leaves 20 great-grandchildren. Along with her parents and husband, Lorena was predeceased by her siblings Rev. Wallace Irving Bradley, Mary Josephine (Bradley) Messer, Rev. Roger Leon Bradley, and Whitney Lyon Bradley, Jr. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, September 7, 2017 from 4-7p.m. at Byron Keenan Funeral Home, 1858 Allen St, Springfield. A funeral home service will be held on Friday, September 8, 2017 at 10 a.m. followed by burial in Hillcrest Park Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Deacons fund at Heritage Baptist Church of Springfield, 640 Plumtree Road, Springfield, MA. 01118.
