Lucine F. (Flebotte) Bergeron, 93, a lifelong resident of Springfield, passed away on Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at the Wingate of East Longmeadow nursing home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on April 4, 1924, the daughter of the late Joseph and Emma (Jefferson) Flebotte.  Lucine worked in customer service for the former Food Mart in Springfield and retired after many years of service.  She was a parishioner of St. Patrick’s Church in Springfield. In addition to her parents she was also predeceased by her beloved husband Ernest O. Bergeron in 2003. She is survived by her seven devoted children Ernest Bergeron and his wife Marsha of West Royal Palm Beach, FL., Paul Bergeron and his wife Joyce of Springfield, Dennis Bergeron of Hampden, MA., Cyndi Clarke of Marietta, GA., Mark Bergeron and his wife Vickie Maryou of Longmeadow, MA., Diane Santaniello and her husband Thomas of Springfield and Donna Moselsky and her husband Michael of Foresdale, MA. She also leaves sixteen cherished grandchildren and sixteen adored great-grandchildren. Lucine’s funeral will be held on Monday, September 4, 2017 at 9a.m. from the Byron Keenan Funeral Home and Cremation Tribute Center, 1858 Allen Street, Springfield, MA, 01118, Followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10a.m. in St. Patrick’s Church, 1900 Allen Street, Springfield. Burial will be private. Family and friends will gather on Sunday, September 3, 2017 from 2-5p.m. at the funeral home.
