Melissa Anne Holman

Melissa A. Holman passed away peacefully at home on March 23, 2024.  She was born in Plympton, MA, educated in the Springfield and Agawam School systems a daughter to the late Morris H. and Ruth E. (Welch) Holman and was a graduate of Agawam High School Class of 1971.

Melissa was employed as an inspector for several local machine shops in the Greater Springfield area and more recently as a nurse’s aide at several local nursing homes. Besides spending time with her family and friends, one of her favorite pastimes was following the Boston Red Sox.

She leaves behind her brother, David Holman and his wife Bev of Monson, her sisters, Judy Villamaino and her husband Mark of Uxbridge, MA, Carol Grochmal and her husband Walter of Whiting, ME, Kathleen McLellan of Springfield, Susan LaBrecque of Hampden, and Andrea Pajak of West Springfield; along with numerous nieces and nephews.  Besides her parents, Melissa was predeceased by her sister and best friend forever, Barbara.  

At her family’s request, all services are private. The Byron Keenan Funeral Home and Cremation Tribute Center of 1858 Allen Street in Springfield is honored to be handling her arrangements.
