Rose M. (Vitello) Schultz, 90, of East Longmeadow, passed away with her loving daughter by her side, on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at Wingate of East Longmeadow. Rose was born in Boston on July 29, 1926 the daughter of the late Otino and Pasquelina Vitello. She attended Annhurst College. Rose taught for 24 years in the Springfield Public School System. In addition to her parents she was also predeceased by her husband, Bolic “Bill” Schultz in 1964. Rose leaves her daughter, Valerie Booth of East Longmeadow, and her three children, Amie and her husband Tom, Justin, and Ericka and her husband Cory, and their children, her great grandchildren, Rosey, Riley, Jacob, and Andrew. She also leaves her son, Mark and his wife Veronica of Mexico and their fifteen children Evelyn, Ruthie, John, Paul, Moises, Oliver, Luis, Alfonso, Jonathan, A.J., Rachel, Sophia, Aaron, Rajim, Jason, Kimberly, and Rebecca and all their spouses. She also leaves eighteen great grandchildren in Mexico and California. Rose is the last of ten siblings, three sisters and six brothers. A calling hour will be held on Monday, April 10, 2017 from 9-10am at Byron Keenan Funeral Home, 1858 Allen St, Springfield, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11am in St. Michael’s Church, 128 Maple St, East Longmeadow. A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at 12noon in Knollwood Memorial Park Cemetery, 319 High St, Canton, MA. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Rose’s memory to Smile Train, 41 Madison Ave, 28th Floor, Attn: Team Empower, New York, NY 10010 or to the Springfield Rescue Mission, 10 Mill St, Springfield, MA 01108.
