Suzanne Richter Converse, of Springfield passed away on Friday, September 15, 2017 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Springfield on August 8, 1941, the daughter of the late Herman O. and Edythe F. (Woods) Richter.  Suzanne worked as a bus driver for the Springfield School System for many years where she loved being around children. She also worked for the US Postal Service for over 20 years.  She loved and enjoyed her family more than anything, and also loved gardening, crafting, traveling and her dogs.  Suzanne leaves her long time close companion of 35 years, Joseph Ribeiro; her children, Kerry Converse, Kimberly Hanlon, Kellis Jasmin, Kyle Converse, and Kristin Converse; her brother, Warren Richter; her sister, Nancy Norcross; close friend and sister-in-law, Donna Frederick; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Along with her parents, Suzanne was predeceased by her son, Gregory Converse and her brother, Lloyd “Rick” Richter. Family and friends will gather and remember Suzanne on Tuesday, September 19, 2017 from 4 p.m-6 p.m. at the Byron Keenan Funeral Home, 1858 Allen St, Springfield, followed by a Life Celebration Service at 6 p.m. Burial will be private.
