Alessandro Graziani

Alessandro Graziani, 75, of East Longmeadow passed away on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at his home surrounded by his loving family.  Alessandro was born in Amatrice, Italy on January 4, 1943, the son of the late Giuseppe and Aleide (Anaballi) Graziani.  He emigrated from Italy in 1973 and settled in Springfield, MA.  Alessandro owned and operated multiple laundromats in the Springfield area.  He was a member of the Lake Sunapee Yacht Club in Sunapee, New Hampshire and was also a member of the UNICO Chapter of Springfield.  Alessandro was a soccer enthusiast and enjoyed following international competition.  He also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren at his home on Lake Sunapee where they swam, played tennis and sailed.  He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Jean (Spallino) Graziani of East Longmeadow, two devoted daughters, Catherine Markowicz and her husband Michael of Glastonbury, CT and Alessandra Graziani of East Longmeadow.  He will be missed by his six  grandchildren, Robert, Charles, Stephen, Madelyn, Jack, Joseph; as well as his brother, Domenico Graziani of Rome, Italy; and his sister, Laurita Graziani of Antrodoco, Italy.  All services and burial will be private.  In lieu of flowers, contribution may be made to the Lake Sunapee Protective Association of Sunapee, New Hampshire or a charity of your choice.  Arrangements are entrusted to the Byron Keenan Funeral Home and Cremation Tribute Center, 1858 Allen Street, Springfield, MA, 01118.
