Alfred W. Deyo, Jr., 81, of Bondsville, MA., passed away on Sunday morning, March 28, 2021 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Alfred was born in Springfield on May 9, 1939, the son of the late Alfred W. Deyo, Sr., and Lillian (Hackett) Deyo. He was a graduate of Springfield Technical High School, Class of 1957. He proudly served our country in the United States Navy from October, 1957 – March, 1962. Alfred worked for many years at Pratt and Whitney and retired in 1994. He enjoyed flying model planes, camping, fishing, hunting and reading. He also loved cruising and riding motorcycles, but most of all he cherished times with his loving family and friends. He is survived by his beloved wife of fifty-seven years of marriage Jerilyn G. (Laro) Deyo of Bondsville, MA., two devoted children, Lisa A. DeMarey and her husband Brian of Bondsville, MA., and Kenneth E. Deyo and his life partner Michael D. Makara both of Springfield, a sister Lillian Hoy and her husband John of Palmer, MA., and four grandchildren Jake, Courtney, Megan and Nicole. In addition to his parents he was also predeceased by two brothers Edward and Ralph Deyo. Family and friends will gather and remember Alfred on Saturday, April 3, 2021 from 10:00 a.m -11:30a.m. at the Byron Keenan Funeral Home and Cremation Tribute Center, 1858 Allen Street, Springfield, Followed by a Funeral Home Service at 1130a.m. Burial will be private.
