Amy E. (Brawders) Thomas, 55, of Ludlow passed away on Saturday, February 10, 2018 after battling lung cancer. Born in Springfield on November 14, 1962, she was a daughter of Virginia (Sheehan) Brawders and the late Robert Brawders.  Amy had a love for animals and was an avid sports fan, especially the Red Sox, Patriots, and Bruins. She worked as a pharmacy technician for Johnson Memorial Hospital in CT. Along with her father, Amy was predeceased by her fiancé Jack Cote, and her two Yorkshire Terriers, Flea and Flora. She leaves her loving daughter Alison Rousseau, and grandson Elliot Rousseau of Escondido, CA; her mother, Virginia Brawders of Ludlow, MA; her six siblings, Pamela Majewski of East Granby, CT, Diane Hamelin of Springfield, MA, Valerie Sweeney of Somers, CT, Kimberly Mallon of Fullerton, CA, Robert Brawders, Jr. of Longmeadow, MA, and twin sister Ann Cieboter of Springfield, MA; many nieces and nephews, and grand-nieces and grand-nephews; and her cat Fenway. Calling hours for Amy will be held on Thursday, February 15, 2018 from 4-6 PM at Byron Keenan Funeral Home and Cremation Tribute Center, 1858 Allen St, Springfield, MA followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 6 PM. Donations may be made in lieu of flowers to the Jimmy Fund, P.O. Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284-9168.
