Anelisa (Medidoro) Maccini, 62, of Wilbraham, passed away on Saturday, October 13, 2018. Anelisa was born in the City of Valsinni, in the Province of Matera, Italy, on March 21, 1956, the daughter of the late Vincienzo and Maria (Santa) Medidoro. She emigrated to the United States in 1980, settled in the Springfield area and worked for the former Ludlow Hospital and later the Visiting Nurse Association at Baystate. She spent her life caring for family, friends, and all others who crossed her path. She is survived by her husband, Thomas Maccini of Wilbraham; a daughter, Catherine Maccini-Hamilton and her husband Jeffrey of Springfield; a son, John Maccini of Wilbraham; her sisters, Elli, Gisella, Rosa, Tina, and Marie-Lianna; as well as many beloved nieces and nephews from Germany and State side. Anelisa’s funeral will be held on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at 9 am from the Byron Keenan Funeral Home & Cremation Tribute Center, 1858 Allen Street, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Catherine of Siena Church, 1023 Parker Street. Rites of Committal will conclude in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, all in Springfield. Calling hours will be held on Friday, October 19, 2018 from 4pm – 6 pm at the funeral home.
