Anthony C DeCarlo

Anthony Christopher DeCarlo, 39, of Springfield passed away at his home on Saturday, March 27, 2021. Anthony was born in Springfield on May 4, 1981, the son of Maureen Connor Abbey and the late Anthony F. DeCarlo. Anthony was educated in the Springfield School System graduating from Putnam Vocational High School, Class of 1999 and served in the Massachusetts Army National Guard assisting with the winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, Utah and disaster recovery efforts in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina. Anthony is survived by his mother Maureen (Connor) Abbey and her husband Kevin Abbey both of Chicopee, his beloved daughter Honor DeCarlo of Granby, sister Jennifer Kearney and her husband Shawn of Palmer, MA., and his four legged friend Thor. Family and friends will meet directly on Thursday, April 1, 2021 at 3p.m. at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main Street, Agawam.  In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project.
