Barbara F. (Vaughan) Wickett

Barbara F. (Vaughan) Wickett, 90, a resident of Wilbraham for over 69 years, died peacefully early Saturday afternoon, October 13, 2018. She was born in Bristol, CT, educated in Springfield, a daughter of the late Arthur E. and Frances N. (Aker) Vaughan, and was a graduate of the High School of Commerce Class of 1946.  Barbara retired in the late 1990’s from the Town of Wilbraham School system where she was the manager of the School Food Service Program for over 27 years. She enjoyed bird watching, traveling, and was an avid reader. She was the beloved wife of the late George B. Wickett, Sr. who died in 1990 and leaves one loving son, George B. Wickett, Jr. and his wife Mary of Sutton, MA; a sister, Gloria Vaughan-Dawson of Ludlow; two cherished grandsons, Brandon A. and Ryan M. Wickett of Sutton; several nieces and nephews, and many dear friends among whom is Suzanne Desrosiers of Wilbraham. Relatives and friends may call on Wednesday evening from 5-7 PM at the Byron Keenan Funeral Home & Cremation Tribute Center, 1858 Allen Street, in Springfield. Her funeral and burial will be private.
