Beatrice H. (Hollister) Rancore, 99, a longtime resident of Springfield, passed away on Saturday, January 18, 2020 at the Life Care of Wilbraham, surrounded by her loving family. Beatrice was born in Granby, MA, on September 6, 1920, the daughter of the late Earl and Edith (Thompson) Hollister. Beatrice was a graduate of Technical High School. She was a member of the Eastern Star organization and she volunteered at Trinity Church in Springfield. In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her beloved husband Robert E. Rancore, two sons-in-law Richard Hill and Steven Roberts, and two grandsons Daniel Whidden and Darrin Hill. She is survived by her four devoted daughters Janet Casiello (Tom) of Pocasset, MA., Carol Rondoletto (Renaldo) of West Yarmouth, MA., Joyce Whidden (Ernest) of Springfield and Cheryl Roberts of Newport, NH and she leaves her four cherished grandchildren Jill Grindle (Ken), Nancy Barbieri (Domenic), Jeff Hill (Amanda) and Matthew Whidden, seven great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews and she leaves a large extended family, including Lisa Hill of Feeding Hills and Lynn Viens of Agawam and Prudy Maloni of Springfield. Family and friends will gather and remember Beatrice on Monday, January 27, 2020 from 11a.m. – 12noon, followed by a Life Celebration Service at 12noon at the Byron Keenan Funeral Home and Cremation Tribute Center, 1858 Allen Street, Springfield.
