Bruce E. Chaffee, 65, of Springfield passed away on Thursday, December 20, 2018. Born in Palmer on November 15, 1953 was a son of the late Robert E. and Barbara E. (Brown) Chaffee. Bruce served in the US Navy during WWII. He worked as a fireman for the town of Monson and also as an EMT and CMA for both Monson and Springfield. Bruce was an auctioneer for Chaffee and Sons and the vice president of the Patriot Family Support Group. He enjoyed video games, going to the movies, and going out to eat. Bruce leaves his wife, Barbara (Smith) Chaffee; his daughter, Deborah Spaulding Bushey; his sons, Richard Joubert, Daniel Joubert, and Vincent Joubert, Sr. and his wife Denise; his grandchildren, Vincent Joubert, Jr., Travis Joubert, Zack Joubert, Christine Murdock, Jamie Spaulding, Laura Spaulding, and Sheri Spaulding; his great-grandchildren, Vincent, Sophia, Samantha, Matthew, Chloe, Brian, Tyler, Elizabeth, Jonah, Kira, Amanda, Nick, and Adam; and his brother, Raymond. Along with his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Roland. All funeral services for Bruce are private and entrusted to Byron Keenan Funeral Home.
