Carrie B. Walker

Carrie passed away peacefully on December 15th at Baystate Medical Center. The daughter of the late George and Rena (Alberghini) Walker, she was born in Springfield, Feb. 3, 1955. She was a long time resident of East Longmeadow and was a resident of Armbrook Village in Westfield for the past 4 years. She was a 1973 graduate of East Longmeadow High School. She also received two associate degrees from Springfield Technical Community College. She had been employed by Springborn Labs, and MacDonald & Johnson Insurance. Carrie was an excellent seamstress who enjoyed making her own clothes, loved playing softball in her younger years, was an avid reader and recently enjoyed painting. She leaves brothers, George Jr. (Linda) of Springfield, Robert (Debra) of East Longmeadow, her nephews Robert Jr., Daniel, niece and goddaughter Ashley. The family would like to thank the staff at Holyoke and Baystate Medical Centers for the care and compassion they gave Carrie. The family would also like to thank the staff at Armbrook Village for their outstanding care and loving compassion they extended to Carrie. It will be forever appreciated. Burial services will be private.
