Charles E. Sotiropoulos of Hampden, passed away on Sunday, December 17, 2017 at Mercy Medical Center. Charles was born in Springfield on January 24, 1939, the son of the late James and Pearl (Maynard) Sotiropoulos. He retired after many years of service from American Saw. In addition to his parents he was also predeceased by a grandson Parker, brothers-in-law Donald Sullivan and Edward Ethier, sisters-in-law Therese Sullivan and Dorothy Gouvan.  He is survived by his wife Arlene (Gouvan) Sotiropoulos of Hampden, and four devoted daughters, Sharon Monteiro and husband Luis of Ludlow, Gayle Sotiropoulos and fiancé John Hebert of Springfield, Diana Monteiro and husband Joe of North Palm Beach, FL., and Nicole Pratt and husband Gerald of Chicopee and his eleven adored grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Family and friends will gather and remember Charles on Thursday, December 21, 2017, from 5p.m-7:30p.m., followed by A Life Celebration Service at 7:30p.m., at the Byron Keenan Funeral Home and Cremation Tribute Center, 1858 Allen Street, Springfield, MA, 01118.
