Claire B (Gurney) Patruno

Claire B. (Gurney) Patruno, 90, of Wilbraham, passed away on Monday, July 22, 2019. Born in Springfield on February 17, 1929 she was a daughter of the late Howard and Blanche (Joubert) Gurney. Claire graduated from Commerce High School and worked as a clerk for the US Postal Service for 21 years, retiring in 1987. She volunteered at Shriners Hospital for Children and Daughter of the Nile. Along with her parents, Claire was predeceased by her husband, Alberico Patruno and her sister, Elizabeth Carpenter. She leaves her two daughters, Cheryl Hamilton of Waterbury Center, VT and Lynne Newton of Palmer, MA; her brother, William Gurney of Springfield; her sister, Lois Gran of Springfield; four grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. Calling hours for Claire will be held on Friday, July 26, 2019 from 10a-11:30a followed by a funeral home service at 11:30a at Byron Keenan Funeral Home, 1858 Allen St, Springfield.
