Claire M. (Beblois) Vigneault

Claire M. (Deblois) Vigneault, 96, a resident of Springfield for many years, formerly of Cranston, RI, died early Saturday evening, May 5, 2018 in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Barton, VT, a daughter of the late Joseph Elzear Telesphore Deblois and Albina Marie (Cloutier) Deblois. Claire was employed for many years as a seamstress with the former Steiger’s Department Store in Springfield. Some of her favorite pastimes included knitting, spending time working in her yard, and foremost, caring for her family. Claire was very independent and continued to be very active well into her nineties. Claire was the beloved wife of the late Roland Vigneault and the loving mother of the late Ronald A. and William A. Vigneault. She leaves one loving daughter, Joan M. Brusseau of Springfield; one daughter-in-law, Virginia (Titus) Vigneault of Southampton; four cherished grandchildren, Michael Brusseau and his wife Abby, Christine (Restaino) Fanara and her husband John, Richard Brusseau and Kevin Brusseau and his wife Stephanie; as well as five great-grandchildren. Claire was also predeceased by her sisters, Irene Hamel, Beatrice Vigneault and Marguerite Deblois and her brother Joseph A. Deblois. Her funeral will be held on Friday, May 11th at 11:00 AM at the Byron Keenan Funeral Home & Cremation Tribute Center, 1858 Allen St., with Rites of Committal to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 421 Tinkham Rd., both in Springfield. Relatives and friends may call on Friday morning prior to her funeral from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers contributions in Claire’s memory may be directed to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute/Jimmy Fund, or to the American Heart Association.
