Craig E. Beck, 66, of Monson passed away on Monday, September 11^th 2017. He was born in Springfield on January 9, 1951 he was the son of the late Ernest and Doris (Lettier) Beck. Craig was a graduate of Tech High School. He received his degree in Forest Management from the University of Massachusetts. He proudly served our country in the United States Navy. Craig co-owned and operated CJ Ground Maintenance for 42 years. Craig was a long time Hampden resident who enjoyed the outdoors. Later he relocated to Monson where he lived on Paradise Lake and truly loved it there. Craig was passionate about fishing, attending concerts, traveling, hiking, fast cars, motorcycles, the ocean, wildlife, and helping others. He is survived by his loving partner, Debra Gilbert, a daughter Alicia, and a son Michael and wife Melanie; his 4 grandchildren Ariana, Dominic, Jayden, and Preston Beck; his 3 sisters Susan, Vicky and Jeanne and his former wife, Lucy Beck.  A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Monday, September 18, 2017 at 10am at Byron Keenan Funeral Home & Cremation Tribute Center, 1858 Allen St, Springfield. Burial will follow in Old Cemetery in Hampden. Family and friends will gather on Sunday, September 17, 2017 from 4pm-7p.m at the funeral home.
