Dale Warren Christensen

Dale Warren Christensen, was born on May 8, 1954 in Springfield, MA and passed away on September 13, 2020. He is survived by  Mary (Sheehan) Christensen whom he spent over thirty five years married to and raising their five boys,  Thomas and his wife Lindsey, Matthew and his wife Casey, Andrew and his wife Lisa, Daniel and his wife Sarah and James and his girlfriend Sarah Waltsak; and leaves five cherished grandchildren, James, Owen, Morgan, Eddie and June; his parents, Warren and Helen Christensen; his sister, Karen and her husband Pat Sheldon; his nieces, Amy  MacRae and her husband Kevin, Ashley Fiddler and her husband Mike, and Amber Sheldon; his nephew, Christopher Lovell and his wife Michelle; his father-in-law, Edward Sheehan as well as the rest of the Sheehan Clan that he loved so much. Dale enjoyed the beach, fishing, riding his motorcycle, helping others, spending time with his family, and bringing animal crackers to his grandkids. He was a member of the Brigham Lodge of Masons AF & AM and the Melha Shriner’s Vintage Autos, Western Mass Model A Ford Restorers Club, and the N.R.A. Dale was a coach, loving and thoughtful father, wonderful son, amazing brother, dear friend and a gentleman in every sense of the word.  He was Dale. He was Uncle Dale. He was Papa. He was Dad. He will be greatly missed by many, but his legacy will carry on in those who loved him most. Relatives and friends may call on Friday evening, September 18th from 4-7 PM at Byron Keenan Funeral & Cremation Tribute Center, 1858 Allen Street in Springfield. His funeral will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Dale’s name may be directed to the Shriners Hospital for Children, 516 Carew St., Springfield, MA 01104 or to the Church in the Acres, 1383 Wilbraham Rd., Springfield, MA 01119.
