Daniel Edward Joseph Mills

Daniel Edward Joseph Mills, 40, of Taunton, MA., and formerly of Springfield, MA., passed away on Tuesday, June 22, 2021. Danny was born in Springfield on September 17, 1980, the son of Wendell and Debra A. (Muller) Mills of Springfield. He was a graduate of Cathedral High School, Class of 1998. Danny was an avid New England sport fan and loved watching events, he also enjoyed tournament fishing and playing poker. Danny took great pride in his sacred career as a stay home Dad with his beloved son, Jackson. He cherished time spent with his loving family. In addition to his parents he leaves to cherish his memory his beloved son Jackson Mills and Jackson’s mother Shannon and his step daughter Brooklyn all of Taunton, MA.; his brother Josh Mills of Springfield and a sister Sara Morris of West Springfield; nephews William Morris and Jack Newman; aunt Darlene Stykiewicz and her fiancé Edgar LaBonte; godmother Joann Laflamme; several cousins, as well as two special lifelong friends Karen Scahill and Candie Slapski, and a precious friend Andrea Scibelli. Daniel was predeceased by his maternal grandparents Henry and Shirley Muller, and his paternal grandparents Wendell and Alice Mills. Family and friends are invited to gather and remember Danny on Sunday, June 27, 2021, from 1pm-4pm at the Byron Keenan Funeral Home and Cremation Tribute Center, 1858 Allen Street, Springfield, MA. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, June 28, 2021 at 10a.m. meeting directly at St. Patrick’s Church, 1900 Allen Street, Springfield.
