David J. Dunaj

David J. Dunaj, 68, of Wilbraham, passed away on June 7, 2022, at home surrounded by his loving family. Dave was born in Springfield, the son of the late Walter and Loretta (Antosiewicz) Dunaj. He graduated from Chicopee High School, attained his MBA from American International College, and worked as a financial controller for various manufacturing companies. Dave excelled at sports and supported all New England teams. He enjoyed music, crosswords, cycling, and vacations with his family. He is survived by his devoted wife of forty years, Taryn (Stewart) Dunaj, his beloved children Lindsay Kirsch, Cameron Dunaj (Shannon), Stephanie Dunaj (fiancé Kenneth Labrie), and his cherished grandson, Wesley David Kirsch. He also leaves his brother Walter Dunaj (Lynne) and sister Karen Poulin (Kenneth). Dave will be missed by the extended Stewart family: his mother-in-law Jean Stewart, Kristen O’Brien (Stephen), Lauren Stewart and Joanne Ballentyne, Charles Stewart III and Cynthia Stadulis, Kim Hastings (Mark), Debra Brolsma, Charlene Bastien (David), Joan Stewart, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father-in-law, Charles Stewart Jr. Dave’s family sends their heartfelt thanks to Michael MacLeod for his constant friendship and support. Family and friends will gather to remember Dave on Saturday, June 11 from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM at the Byron Keenan Funeral Home and Cremation Tribute Center, 1858 Allen Street, Springfield.
