David Kelly

David M. Kelly Sr., 59, passed away Wednesday, April 27th, 2022 at Baystate Medical Center with his family by his side. He was born January 16th, 1963 in Springfield, Ma, the son of the late Ira and Emma (Hooks) Kelly and to Willie B. Kelly. He is predeceased by three brothers James Kelly, Thomas Kelly, and Earl Sutton.

He was a graduate of Springfield Technical High School class of 1980. He received a Bachelors in Human services from Springfield college. For many years, he worked as a substance abuse counselor and was known by his family, friends, and colleagues for his passion to help others. He was known for being a handyman, mechanic, softball coach, problem solver and a great shoulder to lean on. He loved many things but fishing, grilling and hanging in his garage were the things he loved most.

David is survived by his beloved wife Carol L. (Taylor) Kelly of Springfield and five devoted children Tiffany Greene and her husband Esau, David Kelly Jr., Tamika Rivera and her husband Kevin, Jasmine Taylor (Anthony), Tianna Kelly (Maurice), and he leaves six brothers Ira Kelly and his wife Denise, Rocky Kelly (Regenia), Esses Kelly and his wife Melissa, Gregory Sutton and his wife Kim, Derrick Sutton and Joseph Sutton and his wife Denise. His eight adored grand children Andrew, Donavan, Jasmine, Isaiah, Talyn, Gabriella, Payton and Sadiyah. As well as a large extended family.
