David Roger Niccum, Sr., of Hampden, passed away on Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at the Wingate of Hampden. He was born in Elkhart, Indiana, on August 21, 1934, the son of the late Clarence and Emma (Sohm) Niccum. David was a graduate of Euclid High School, Class of 1953. He also attended Ohio State College. He owned and operated Mac Quarrie and Niccum Coppersmiths. In addition to his parents he was also predeceased by a son David R. Niccum, Jr., in 1975. David is survived by his beloved wife of sixty years of marriage, Phebe (Mac Quarrie) Niccum of Hampden and three devoted children Jonathan Niccum and his wife Kammy of Hampden, MA., Amy Sciacca and her husband David of Woodstock, GA; and Abby Sullivan of Hampden, he leaves a brother Robert Niccum and his wife Shirley of Mentor, OH; and a sister Helen Hunter and her husband Jim of Roseville, CA., and he leaves five adored grandchildren Charles Signaigo and his wife Theresa, Patrick Sullivan, Oscar Niccum and Preston Niccum and Matthew Sullivan., and a great-granddaughter Phebe Sue Signaigo. Family and friends will gather and remember David on Monday, May 21, 2018 at 11AM. at the Bethlehem Church, 123 Allen Street, Hampden, MA, 01036. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Springfield Rescue Mission.
