David M. Wojcik

SPRINGFIELD – David M. Wojcik, 47, sadly passed away on December 3, 2020 surrounded by his family. Dave was born in Holyoke, MA to loving parents John E. Wojcik, Jr. and Patricia (Cox) Wojcik. He grew up in Springfield where he attended Holy Cross School and graduated from Cathedral High School. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in English from UMASS Amherst. Prior to his illness, Dave worked at AVI-SPL as an Audiovisual Conference Coordinator. He greatly enjoyed playing guitar, fishing, watching and collecting movies, English literature, gaming and discovering interesting antiques with his wife, Laura. He found a true passion in music and drawing at an early age. He also built, customized and repaired computers, guitars and amplifiers for many years. Of all the things Dave loved, his family topped the list. His quick wit, amazing sense of humor, hilarious jokes and kindness will be missed by all who knew him. To cherish his memory he leaves his mother Patricia (Cox) Wojcik; wife and love of his life Laura Moriarty; brother John Wojcik (Jackie); sisters Heidi Alfano, and Tricia Wojcik (Steve); nephew Zach Whitehead; and nieces Amanda Whitehead, Jenna Wojcik, and Jillian Wojcik; dogs Pepper and Mindy; as well as many extended family members and friends. Dave was predeceased by his father John E. Wojcik, Jr. in 2018 and his dog Little Joey. Due to COVID-19 services for Dave will be held privately.
