Diane E. (Keddy) Petitt, 60, of Longmeadow, passed away on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Diane led a good life full of treasured moments with all her family. She was well known for her amazing smile and bubbly personality. Diane was born in Springfield on October 18, 1956, the daughter of George Keddy of Hampden and the late Elizabeth (McNulty) Keddy. Diane was a graduate of Longmeadow High School, Class of 1974. In addition to Diane’s mother, she was also predeceased by her daughter Jessica Emery in 2009 and her son Patrick Petitt in 2013. She is survived by her son Dylan Petitt of E.Boston, her father George Keddy and his wife Genevieve both of Hamden, MA., a brother John Keddy of Melbourne, FL., a brother Lawrence and his daughter Natalie of Thailand, and her granddaughter Jordan and grandson Jacob both of Nantucket, MA, a step-brother Andrew Hersman and his wife Megan of Hampden, MA., step-sisters Stephanie Schipper and her husband David of Ellington, CT., and Amy Zander and her husband Steven of Ellington, CT and she leaves a large extended family in the Boston area. The family would like to express it's sincere thanks to so many who helped during Diane's final days. Burial will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery, Kings Highway, West Springfield. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, July 11, 2017 from 4-7p.m. at the funeral home.
