Donna Mae Lopardo

Donna Mae (Cadwell) Lopardo of East Longmeadow, passed away on Tuesday, January 11, 2022. She was 72 years old. Donna was born in Ludlow, MA on September 14, 1949. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Sophie (Nyszek) Cadwell. Donna graduated from Ludlow High School in 1967 and earned her nursing degree in 1970 from Providence Hospital School of Nursing. She earned an Associate Degree in Science from Holyoke Community College in 1978. Her career as a Registered Nurse spanned for forty- two years where she was employed at several hospitals, as a visiting nurse and later retiring in 2012 from Orchard Valley at Wilbraham. Donna was an enthusiastic cook and loved to entertain at the family home. She enjoyed attending to flowers and vegetables in the family garden. Donna had a passion for traveling and experiencing new places and people. In her spare time, Donna was an avid reader of many subjects and various novels. She was also a devout Catholic with a selfless and forgiving spirit. She is survived by her beloved husband of fi]y- one years of marriage, Michael T. Lopardo of East Longmeadow, three devoted daughters Jennifer Lopardo of Mount Bethel, PA, Beverly Lopardo of Ludlow, MA, and Karoline Weston and her husband Brian of Keene, NH. In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by a sister Beverly Jean Cadwell. Family and friends will gather and remember Donna on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 from 9:45a.m. – 10:45a.m. at the Byron Keenan Funeral Home and Cremation Tribute Center, 1858 Allen Street, Springfield, MA, 01118, Followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial in St. Michael’s Church, 128 Maple Street, East Longmeadow at 11:30a.m.. Burial will follow in St. Michael’s Cemetery in Springfield. Memorial contributions may be made to The American Cancer Society
