Dorothy F. “Dot” (Hoffman) O’Connell, 97, a resident of East Longmeadow for 32 years, formerly of Holyoke, died early Saturday morning, January 16, 2021 at her residence. She was born and educated in Holyoke, the daughter of the late Henry and Margaret Ellen (Glynn) Hoffman. Dot was employed for over 33 years with the former Bradlees Department Store as a customer service representative. She was the wife of the late Edward P. O’Connell who died in 1983 and leaves two loving daughters, Jane E. Lyons and her husband Edward of Springfield, and Lynn A. Manners and her husband Doug of East Longmeadow; four grandchildren, Kelley Lyons, Kerry Norman and her husband Greg, Douglas Manners and his partner Ivan Chan, and Jessica Malin and her husband Lee; three great-grandchildren, Anthony, Kaitlyn and EJ; one great-great grandson, Sebastian; her great-grand dog Wyatt; and her two dear friends who resided at the East Longmeadow Brownstone, Ruth and Noreen. Relatives and friends are welcome to attend a funeral home service on Friday, January 22nd at 11:00 AM at the Byron Keenan Funeral Home & Cremation Tribute Center, 1858 Allen St., Springfield, with Rites of Committal to conclude at Calvary Cemetery in Holyoke. An hour of visitation will precede her funeral at the funeral home Friday morning from 10 -11 AM.
