Dr. Anil K. Chakrabarti

Dr. Anil K. Chakrabarti, MD, 88, of South Hadley, an anesthesiologist practicing in the Greater Springfield area for over 35 years, died Tuesday evening, February 5, 2019 at the Holyoke Medical Center. Dr. Chakrabarti's career in anesthesia spanned Holyoke Hospital, Wesson Memorial Hospital, Baystate Medical Center and finally the Shriner’s Hospital for Children from which he retired in 1996. He was the devoted husband of 57 years to Pranati (Bhowmik) Chakrabarti of South Hadley, and leaves two loving sons, Anjan Chakrabarti of Chicopee, and Ajoy Chakrabarti of East Longmeadow along with his wife Alicia. He leaves two sisters in India as well.
