E. Edna (Pagani) Colesano, Auntie “Ed”, passed away on February 17, 2020. She was born at home in Springfield on December 22, 1918 to the late Ester (Valsecchi) and Adelisio Pagani. Edna graduated from the High School of Commerce in 1936. She was employed for many years as a bookkeeper at Mercy Medical Center and retired in 1975. Edna was predeceased by her husband Anthony in 1994 and her brother, Robert Pagani, and sisters Julia Barchielle and Irene Maruca and son-in-law Robert (Bob) Methe. She leaves her children by marriage, twin daughters, Joan (Jack) Nehmer of East Longmeadow, and Jean Methe of West Springfield; six grandchildren, Catherine (John) Sandillo, Michael (Barbara) Nehmer, Lisa (Michael) Cronin, Karen (Matthew) DiDonato, Jeffrey Nehmer, Mark (Corrie) Methe; great-granddaughters (her “Dollies”) Ariana, Erin, Lauren, Alexandra, Nicole, Megan, Michaela, Sarah, Ella, and Ava; great-grandson Jack Methe; nephew Robert E. Pagani of Wilbraham; nieces Paula (David) Wicks of East Longmeadow and Linda (Paul) Agerty of Florida; grandnieces and nephews; and a great-grandniece and nephews. Edna would like to thank Dr. Marc Vanderleen and Gracie for putting up with her for all those years. Family and friends will gather and remember Edna on Friday, February 21, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. to 12 noon at the Byron Keenan Funeral Home & Cremation Tribute Center, 1858 Allen Street, Springfield, MA, followed by a Funeral Home Service at 12 noon.
