Eddie Addison, Jr.

Eddie Addison, Jr., a lifelong resident of Springfield, died on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at Baystate Medical Center. He was born and educated in Springfield, a son of the late Eddie and Wilhelmina (Haywood) Addison and was a graduate of Springfield Technical High School. Eddie was the current owner and operator for more than 25-years of Addison II Cleaning Service. Previously, Eddie was employed with the former Digital Corporation at locations in Holyoke and Springfield. He was an avid New England sports fan who followed the Celtics, Red Sox and Patriots. Eddie was also a member of the Jehovah Wittiness Hall in Springfield. He is survived by his wife and best friend of 57-years, Clarice E. (Walker) Addison and leaves two loving children, Michele L. Addison of Hampton, VA and Scott D. Addison of Springfield; his sister, Marylouise “Tootsie” Rutherford and her husband Joseph of Suffolk, VA; and two grandchildren, Marcus S. Allen and Joshua Addison. Besides his parents, Eddie was predeceased by his sister, June A. Addison in 2014. His funeral will be held on Saturday, May 29th at 11:00 AM at the Byron Keenan Funeral Home & Cremation Tribute Center, 1858 Allen St., in Springfield. Burial will be private.
