Elaine (LeBlanc) Dill, 77, of the Sixteen Acres neighborhood in Springfield, passed away on Friday evening at the Wingate nursing home in Springfield. Elaine was born in Derry, NH, on August 3, 1940, the daughter of the late Herve and Auria (Richard) LeBlanc. She was a graduate of Gardner High School Class of 1957 and Fitchburg State College. Elaine was a parishioner of St. Catherine of Siena Church in Springfield. She was a co-founder of St. Catherine’s Little Church and also served as a lector. Elaine was a teacher at Holy Cross School and retired after twenty seven years of service. She is survived by her beloved husband of fifty-six years of marriage, Robert E. Dill, Sr., of Springfield; a devoted son Robert E. Dill, Jr., and his wife Renee of Springfield; two sisters, Frances Davini of Templeton and Janet Korhornen and her husband John of Gardner; step brother, Raymond Hebert; two cherished granddaughters, Cassidy and Tessa Dill of Springfield; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and a large extended family. In addition to her parents, Elaine was predeceased by her son, Chad Michael Dill and a step brother Donald Hebert. Family and friends will gather and remember Elaine on Thursday, February 8, 2018 from 9:00 a.m.-10:30 a.m. at the Byron Keenan Funeral Home and Cremation Tribute Center, 1858 Allen Street, Springfield, MA, 01118, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. in St. Catherine of Siena Church in Springfield.
