Elaine Louise (Letourneau) English

Elaine Louise (Letourneau) English, 74, of Ludlow, passed away on May 28, 2023 at home surrounded by her daughters. Elaine was born in Springfield on June 28, 1948, the daughter of the late John and Jane (St. Amand) Letourneau. Elaine was raised in Springfield and graduated from Cathedral High School. She had many different chapters as a young adult, but settled in Belchertown and focused her time on raising her daughters. She eventually worked for UMass Amherst Continuing Education and retired in 2014. She was a devoted mother, friend, and sister and enjoyed spending time with those she loved. She always found something to look forward to and ways to cross things off her bucket list. Elaine will be missed by her two devoted daughters Sally G. English and partner Mike Lesanto and Alice G. English; as well as her siblings John Letourneau and wife Joan, Paul Letourneau and wife Kathy, Joan Elamrani and husband Abdel, and Dan Letourneau and wife Deb. She also leaves a strong network of cousins and life-long friends, who will miss her direct advice and willful take on life. A calling hour will be held on Saturday, June 17, 2023 from 9-10a.m. at the Byron Keenan Funeral Home and Cremation Tribute Center, 1858 Allen Street, Springfield, MA, 01118, followed by a Life Celebration Service at 10a.m. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Springfield. Memorial contributions may be made to Michael J. Fox Foundation or American Parkinson's Disease Foundation.
