Eleanore (Caron) Kennedy

Eleanore (Caron) Kennedy, 93, of East Longmeadow passed away on Monday, February 18, 2019. Born in Chicopee on July 10, 1925, she was a daughter of the late Walter and Leona (Dussault) Caron. Eleanore worked as a secretary for the East Longmeadow School System for several years and was a member of the Altar Society of St. Michael’s Church. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her loving husband, William Kennedy, in 2014; and her two sisters, Freida Scollard and Lorraine Boucher. Eleanore leaves her four sons, David Kennedy of West Hartford, CT, Daniel Kennedy and his wife Sherry of Uxbridge, MA, Kevin Kennedy of Worcester, MA, and Dale Kennedy and his wife Martha of Harwich Port, MA; seven grandchildren, Jennifer Falcone, Brian Kennedy, Meghan Ruszczyk, and Erin, Andrew, William, and Winifred Kennedy; and eight great grandchildren, Madelyn, Jillian, Olivia, Christian, Austin, Reid, Mia, and Eva. Funeral services for Eleanore will be held on Friday, February 22, 2019 starting at 10:15am at Byron Keenan Funeral Home, 1858 Allen St, Springfield followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11:30am in St. Michael’s Church, 128 Maple St, East Longmeadow. Rites of Committal will conclude in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Chicopee. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, February 21, 2019 from 5-7 pm.
