Elsie G. (Richter) Wheeler

Elsie G. (Richter) Wheeler, 83 of Shelburne Falls, MA, passed away on December 26, 2020 at Baystate Medical Center. Elsie was born in Holyoke, MA., on June 13, 1937, the daughter of the late Carl and Else (Meschka) Richter. Elsie spent most of her life in the Springfield area. Graduated from Springfield School system and followed a career as a Baker. Working at numerous businesses such as Springfield Country Club, Crestview Country Club and The Tea Room in Brimfield, Ma. Elsie enjoyed cooking, painting and reading. Her passion was being with her children and grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was also predeceased by a daughter Debra Hartman and a sister Lillian Rock. Elsie is survived by her four devoted children Donny Wheeler and his wife Carol and their daughter Alex of Springfield, Susan Shea and her husband Patrick of Shelburne Falls and their child Clayton, David Wheeler of Agawam his children Adam, Carly and predeceased grandson David Wheeler and Carol Burns and her husband Joseph of Milford, CT. along with their children Robbie, James, Joey, Izzy Burns, and Gemma Meon, as well as her predeceased Daughter Debra Hartman’s two children Samantha and Nickolas Debiasio.Due to COVID-19 services will take place at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to the Byron Keenan Funeral Home and Cremation Tribute Center, 1858 Allen Street, Springfield.
