Fay D. (Tarbet) Craven, 80, of Springfield, died early Saturday morning, January 21, 2023 in the comfort of her home, with her best friend and life partner Dave at her side. She was born in Motherwell, Scotland the daughter of the late David R. and Catherine D. (Bain) Tarbet. Fay was educated in both Scotland and Springfield and was a graduate of the High School of Commerce Class of 1959. She was a former member of South Congregational Church of Springfield and the AARP. Fay was employed with the Springfield Institution for Savings for over twenty years, and Baystate VNA & Hospice as a records clerk and Hospice Aide for many years. She leaves her longtime life partner of 18 years, David R. Mack of Springfield; two daughters, Catherine Roy and her husband Jim of Springfield, and Carol A. Dulude of Lunenburg, MA; three grandchildren, Stacy Crowell, Patrick Crowell, and Heather Dulude; as well as six great-grandchildren, Elias and Autumn Crowell, Kayleigh Bellefeuille, Emelia and Sofia Dulude and Jameson LaFlamme. Besides her parents, Fay was predeceased by her granddaughter, Kristen Crowell; and her grandson, Ronald Dulude. Relatives and friends may call on Monday morning, January 30th from 10:00 – 11:00 AM followed by a funeral home service at 11:00 AM at the Byron Keenan Funeral Home & Cremation Tribute Center, 1858 Allen Street in Springfield. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery, 895 Parker Street in Springfield. Instead of flowers, Fay’s family request that contributions in her name be directed to St. Jude Children Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1905.
