Florentia Rodriguez

Florentina Rodriguez, 80 of Springfield, formerly of Humacao, Puerto Rico, died peacefully late Sunday evening, May 26, 2019 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born and educated in Humacao, Puerto Rico the youngest of ten children to the late Florencio Rodriguez and Clotide Cruz. For about ten years she moved to Chicago where she was employed at a candy factory before moving back to Puerto Rico. She eventually moved to Springfield, MA in 1979 where she permanently resided. Some of her favorite pastimes included walking, listening to music, singing, cooking, enjoying a good laugh and most importantly spending time with her family. is survived by eight loving children, Betsy Lopez, Eneed Irizarry, Luz Cruz, Rafael Rodriguez, Petra Rodriguez, Brenda Viera, Nelly Viera and Nelson Viera; 22 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, 1 great great-granddaughter as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her son Robert Rodriguez and all of her siblings. She will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew her. All services were private.
