Francis Robert Schneider

Francis Robert Schneider, 96, a lifelong resident of Springfield, passed away on Thursday, May 25, 2023 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Francis was the son of the late Henry and Marguritte (Spooner) Schneider. Francis proudly served our country in the United States Navy during World War II.  He worked for many years at Cheney Bigelow Wireworks in Springfield, MA., as a wire weaver. He attended Holy Cross Parish in Springfield MA and enjoyed spending time with his family. In addition to his parents he was also predeceased by a son Martin Schneider and a brother Henry Schneider. Francis is survived by his beloved wife of 69 years of marriage Rosemary E. (Madden) Schneider of Springfield, and his four devoted children Carolyn Lyons and her husband Robert of Springfield, Robert Schneider of Turners Falls, MA., Steven Schneider of Springfield, MA and Daniel Schneider and his wife Susan of Wilbraham, MA., and he leaves a sister Jeanette Buckley of Springfield and he leaves his seven cherished grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
