Frederick "Ricky" F. Sparks Jr.

Frederick “Ricky” F. Sparks, Jr., of Springfield, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at his home. Ricky was born in Keene, New Hampshire on November 26, 1974. Ricky attended Putnam Vocational High School. He loved to fish, canoe, carpentry, and loved his "old Dodge trucks". He, like his late father, Frederick "Sparky" F. Sparks Sr., was always working on his next plan, and always had a story to tell. Rick loved helping others and paying it forward. He is survived by his mother Carol (Mossey) Sparks of Indian Orchard, his beloved son Frederick F. Sparks III and his longtime companion, Rikki King of Enfield, CT., Siblings, Larry Miller and Robert Mossey of Indian Orchard, Wendy M. Lane and Susan M. Dion of West Springfield. Ricky was a dear friend of Bill W. and was passionate about helping all who sought a sober life. Family and friends will gather and remember Ricky on Tuesday, March 28, 2023 from 4- 6p.m. at the Byron Keenan Funeral Home and Cremation Tribute Center, 1858 Allen Street, Springfield. Burial will be private.
