Helen (Hamilton) Rhoades, 77, a longtime resident of Brimfield, MA., passed away on Sunday, August 20, 2017 surrounded by her family. Helen was born in Holyoke on February 24, 1940, the daughter of the late Paul and Ruth (Mitchell) Hamilton. She was a graduate of Holyoke High School and Bay Path College. Helen enjoyed knitting but most of all she treasured time spent with her family. Helen is survived by her beloved husband of fifty-three years Earl Rhoades of Brimfield and three devoted children Jessica Marsella and her husband Stephen of Narragansett, Rhode Island, Arthur Rhoades and his wife Sheryl of Palmer, MA., and Christine Brown and her husband Ernie of Dracut, MA., and she also leaves four cherished grandsons Matthew, James, Tyler and Cameron. Family and friends will gather and remember Helen on Wednesday, August 23, 2017 from 10-11a.m., followed by a Life Celebration Service at 11a.m. at the Byron Keenan Funeral Home and Cremation Tribute Center, 1858 Allen Street, Springfield, MA 01118.
