Hubert J "Frenchy" Pelletier

December 13, 1930 ~ March 19, 2018 (age 87)

Hubert J. “Frenchy” Pelletier, 87, of Springfield, passed away on March 19, 2018. Frenchy was born in Fort Kent, Maine on December 13, 1930, the son of the late Xavier and Euphemie Liza (Gauvin) Pelletier. He was employed with the former O.R. Trucking Company of Springfield from which he retired after many years of service. Frenchy was an accomplished figure skater, coach and instructor who was well known in the local circle in which he competed for many years. He loved working on cars and puttering around in the garage. He also enjoyed playing with his dogs. In addition to his parents he was also predeceased by two brothers and three sisters. He is survived by his beloved wife of sixty-one years Dorothy L. (Klinert) Pelletier of Springfield and a devoted daughter Karen Pelletier and Ivan Raabe of Indian Orchard, he also leaves three sisters Joanne, Dolly and Jean, and he leaves a large extended family. Family and friend will gather and remember Frenchy on Thursday, March 29, 2018 from 4-6p.m. at the Byron Keenan Funeral Home and Cremation Tribute Center, 1858 Allen Street, Springfield, MA, 01118, Followed by a Life Celebration Service at 6pm.
