James M. Lunsford, 53, of the Sixteen Acres area of Springfield, passed away on Thursday, July 20, 2017 at Mercy Medical Center. James was born in Ludlow, on February 29, 1964, the son of Ruth (Rodd) Lunsford and the late James E. Lunsford. In addition to his father, James was also predeceased by his son, Matthew Lunsford in 1998. He is survived by his mother Ruth Lunsford, two brothers,  Richard P. Lunsford and his wife Susan and Keith E. Lunsford all of Springfield, his sister Brenda Albrecht and her husband Wayne of Feeding Hills, as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and cousins. Family and friends are asked to gather for A Life Celebration Service on Monday, July 24, 2017 at 10 a.m. at the Byron Keenan Funeral Home and Cremation Tribute Center, 1858 Allen Street, Springfield, MA 01118. Burial will conclude in Hillcrest Park Cemetery in Springfield. A calling hour will precede the service from 9-10 AM. Memorial contributions may be made to Dakin Humane Society P.O.
