Jeffery M. Leighton

Jeffery M. Leighton, 81, of Holyoke, passed away on Thursday, May 12, 2022 at

Baystate Medical Center. Jeffery was born in Hampden, Maine on November 16,

1941, the son of the late Julian and Thelma (Merrill) Leighton. He was a graduate

of Hampden Academy, and the University on Maine, with a Bachelors degree in education. Jeff was a well known Hypnotherapist in the Springfield area.

He is survived by the love of his life Saundra "Sandie" Golden Leighton of Holyoke and her children Rick Rubin and his wife Cynthia, Sherry Rubin, and two granddaughters, Alexandra and Hannah, and his sister-in-law Shirley Mitchell of Florida. He also leaves his two beloved fur babies Teddy Bear and Sabrina. Family and friends will gather and remember Jeffery on Wednesday, May 25, 2022, from 4-5P.M. at the Byron Keenan Funeral Home and Cremation Tribute Center, 1858 Allen Street, Springfield. Followed by a Funeral Home Service at 5p.m. Burial will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to Dakin Humane Society or Thomas J. O'Connor Animal Control and Adoption Center.
