Joan Faye Earnshaw

Joan Faye (Anderson) Earnshaw 90 of East Longmeadow, MA, passed on December 26, 2021, in the comfort of her home surrounded by her loving family at her side.  She was born in Springfield, MA, the daughter of the late Arthur W. Anderson and Verna (Durkee) Anderson. Joan was employed as a bookkeeper for the Longuiel Transportation Co. prior to accepting a position in the Longmeadow school system in the payroll department until her retirement.  She was a dedicated member of the First Congregational Church of East Longmeadow serving as past treasurer of Women’s Fellowship and taught Sunday school. Joan was a former member of the East Longmeadow Garden Club and truly enjoyed cultivating and caring for the many gardens she maintained on her property.  She also was a member of the East Longmeadow Senior Morning Glory Walkers Club.  She was the beloved wife of the late Robert C. Earnshaw, Sr. for 61 years and leaves four loving children, Linda S Fijal and her husband John of Chapin, SC, Marcia A. Nai of Enfield, CT, Jeffrey R. Earnshaw and his wife Sandra, and Robert C. Earnshaw, Jr. and his wife MJ both of East Longmeadow, MA a brother Barry Anderson and his wife Joan of Milford, MA, 7 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren and was predeceased by her sister Alison Cahill. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2022 at 1:30 PM at the First Congregational Church, 7 Somers Road in East Longmeadow, MA. Burial will be private.
