Joel Rafael Davila, 21, parted this world on November 2, 2021. He was born in Springfield, MA on August 21, 2000.
The son of Rafael Davila, Jr. and Mildred Davila both of Springfield. Joel was a graduate of Putnam Vocational High School, Class of 2018. He worked as an electrical assembler trainer for CRRC Train Company in Springfield for 2 years. He recently got his CDL permit for driving tractor trailers. Joel enjoyed playing video games on his playstation 5, he loved going to Coldstone for ice cream with his friends and doing bonfires, listening to music and singing his heart out, but most of all he loved spending time with his family. He loved Red Robin and Chilli’s and loved collecting pokemon and anime memorabilia. He also loved collecting sneakers, watches and cologne. In addition to his parents he is survived by his three siblings Rafael Davila III of Feeding Hills, MA., Nicolas Davila of Springfield, MA., and Emily Davila of West Springfield, his niece Alani Davila, his nephews Mason Villanueva and Alijah Davila, his three cousins who were also raised as siblings, Jonathan Santiago, Isaiah Martinez and Yvette Santiago and paternal grandmother Margarita Davila all also of Springfield. He leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins and really dear friends who were like family. Family and friends will all gather and remember Joel on Sunday, November 7, 2021 from 2-4p.m. at the Byron Keenan Funeral Home and Cremation Tribute Center, 1858 Allen Street, Springfield, MA, 01118. Joel’s funeral will be held on Monday, November 8, 2021 at 10a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 421 Tinkham Road, Springfield.
