Tribute

Joseph A. Costantini, Sr., 89, of East Longmeadow, formerly of Springfield, died early Friday morning, April 9, 2021 at Vero of Wilbraham. He was born and educated in Springfield, a son of the late Antonio and Theresa (Belcamino) Costantini and was a graduate of the former Technical High School Class of 1950. Joe attended the University of Mass campus studying in the engineering field for two years before beginning his career for many years at Standard Electric Time. He then began his company, North East Circuits where he manufactured, designed and brokered printed circuit boards for over thirty plus years. Joe had a very strong work ethic, known for rarely taking time off for his own pleasure. When given the opportunity, Joe was either fishing and boating or working in his woodshop. He also enjoyed photography, gardening, playing the guitar and was a longtime member of the NRA. Joe was proud of the home he built 54 years ago and truly loved the trips to Italy with his family. He leaves his best friend and devoted wife of 58 years, Virginia A. “Ginger” (Czelusniak) Costantini of East Longmeadow; two sons, Joe A. Jr., and Tony V. Costantini both of East Longmeadow; a sister, Dolores Thompson of Ludlow; a brother, Michael Costantini of North Ridge, CA; his in-laws, Bill and Sandy Gruber of Easthampton, and Dr. Donald Czelusniak and his wife Maureen of Venice, FL; as well as many nieces and nephews. Besides his parent’s, Joe was predeceased by his brothers, Mario and Dan Costantini and his sister, Caroline Berubey. At the request of his family, all services are private.
