Judy Catherine (Gradeck) Davis

Judith Catherine (Gradeck) Zacharie Davis, 71, of Chicopee, passed away on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at Mercy Medical Center after a lengthy yet courageous battle with ovarian cancer. Born in Springfield, MA on September 29, 1946, she was a daughter of the late Wallace and Stella (Niziankiewicz) Gradeck.  She was a graduate of Chicopee High School Class of 1964. During her lifetime, Judy was a hard working employee of Tatham School, SPL Marketing and lastly La-Z-Boy Furniture in West Springfield. She was a devoted Parishioner of Holy Name of Jesus Church of Chicopee, loved the ocean, and the Red Sox. But most of all, she deeply loved her family & friends. Positive, strong, loving, beautiful inside and out are among the many expressions one would hear time and time again to describe her. She would light up a room with her smile, always making everyone feel loved and accepted. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her sisters, Regina Gill and Sonia Gradeck. Judy leaves her two loving daughters, Kimberly Ann (Zacharie) Landry of Westfield, and Rachel Judith Zacharie of Colorado Springs, CO; her brother, Frank Gradeck and his wife Jeanne of AZ; her sister, Patricia Grace and her husband Andy of Chicopee; her three grandchildren, Dagan Gondela of Sunderland, MA; Zachary Landry of Westfield, Erica Catherine (Landry) Murauski and her husband Yelisei of Boston, and her sweet cat, Stella (Sally). A Liturgy of Christian Burial will take place directly at Holy Name of Jesus Church, 104 Springfield St, Chicopee on Friday, April 27, 2018 at 11:00 followed by Rites of Committal in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Chicopee. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, April 26, 2018 from 4-7pm at Byron Keenan Funeral Home & Cremation Tribute Center, 1858 Allen St., Springfield.
